Institute of Design, Edutainment and Animation Studies, in short IDEAS, is a trust established in 2006 with the objective of organizing exhibitions of Paintings, Sculptures, Photography and other allied art forms.  It plans to organize competitions for art and animation in schools and colleges. It produces short experimental films on various subjects and genres.  It has future plans of building up a resource library for arts, animation, photography and other related areas, with a collection of books, VCDs, audio CDs and DVDs of films and other reference materials.

The first event to be organized by IDEAS was an exhibition of paintings “Three in a House of Two-and-a-Half Rooms” at the Birla Academy of Art and Culture, between 04 and 09 December 2007. The participating artists were founder members Shantanu Bose, Shankar S and Rashmi Bose.
